This is an acrylic painting that I've just started of Brandon Flowers who is the lead singer of the Killers. Needed to do a color painting and then I'll get back to the Grunge series.

Just started a Layne Staley painting for the grunge series. Layne Staley was the lead singer for Alice in Chains and sung for a side project called Mad Season. Layne died of a drug overdose in 2002 but was one of the great singers known to grunge music. I am using quite a few reference pictures but the painting is mainly based off of the music video "would."

Here is what the panting looks like today. I'm about ready to start on the guitar then I have some more detail to do on the body and hair before the background gets started. Altogether pleased with it so far.

This is the new painting that I'm currently working on for my Grunge music series. The painting is of Chris Cornell who is a singer that is doing solo work but was in the bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. Still working on the face and the hair but it's getting there. The reference photo that I'm using is by Linda Aversa. You can view her website @ www.lindaaversa.com. Saturday Night Art Stroll in Branson, MO

Here is a pic of some of my paintings at the First Saturday NIght Art Stroll in Branson, MO. The Art Center is located at 111 E Main St which is downtown Branson. I spent time at the stroll working on the Mark Lanegan painting and met some really great artists.

If you are not familiar with mark lanegan, he is one of my favorite singers and has sung with Screaming Trees, Isobel Campbell, Soulsavers, Queens of the Stone Age and has done many solo albums. Here is how the hippie van painting is progressing. Still have a little more to do but was kinda stuck so I started a new painting and will finish this sometime next week.

Still unsure where I'm going with this painting but that's where all the fun is. I've changed the bus color already once. Stay tuned for more updates.

Yep, I've already begun a new painting. Still haven't finished sketching it out but couldn't resist posting. I'm going to add some designs to the van, Still haven't decided what to do with the bottom right corner. I'm either going to add a sun to the sky with a dove/doves or write the word love across the top. Only time will tell.

Progress on Spring Painting

This is my current progress on the spring art nouveau painting. Still got a lot to do but it's slowly getting there.

This is a new acrylic painting I've just started and I will post my progress periodically. This painting is going to be springlike and very colorful in the art nouveau style.
