Jimi Hendrix illustration and tshirt

This turned out awesome! Took me forever to clean up around the hair so I could add the psychedelic color behind Jimi but it was worth it. The person that commissioned the artwork hasn't seen it yet but hopefully they'll approve.

You can purchase this illustration on a t-shirt on Redbubble. They have a variety of different t-shirt colors you can choose from. Free shipping if you buy 3 shirts on Redbubble. Probably do more t-shirt designs in the future. Let me know if you have any ideas?

Violin Girl painting finished

It's finished in time and I took it down to the Conservatory of the Ozarks this afternoon where it will be on display and available for sale. This Friday from 5 to 9pm stop by the conservatory and view all the music related artwork and enjoy the Conservatory's singers. The Conservatory of the Ozarks is located in Chesterfield Village and the address is 2132 West Chesterfield Boulevard Suite 103 & 104D Springfield, MO.

The painting took me well over 60 hours due to it's complexity with the hair and the overall size. I was planning on making the background a lighter blue but it ended up being the bluish purple. Next up is another pet portrait!

- Here's a shout out to Brian for letting me use the wonderful photo for reference. Visit his Flickr page here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/coltfan909

Violin Girl Painting Progress 2

This is about 8 hours into the painting. This is about the 2nd layer on the face and I'll end up doing a few more to smooth out the shading and make it softer. This is my favorite painting that I've worked on in awhile.

Happy Holidays!!!

Chris Cornell painting version 2

The Chris Cornell painting didn't flow with the other grunge paintings that I had done and I also wasn't totally happy with the turnout. Since I finished the series of grunge paintings I'm going to begin work on getting the paintings put on postcards for a set which will be for sale on my website. The changes that I made are the following: changed background color, fixed the hair and the face. I've included the previous photo of the painting so you can see the changes.

I would also like to give credit again to linda aversa for letting me use a photo of hers which was the main reference for the painting. You can view her photography at www.lindaaversa.com

scott weiland finished painting

Woohoo! I found some extra time to finish this painting. Up next is another Chris Cornell because I'm not sure the other painting I did of Chris fits with the series as much as I'd like. Or I might start a painting of my weimeraner Jedi that I've been meaning to do for awhile.

Anyways enjoy the Scott Weiland painting and if anyone is interested I have the painting for sale on my website at www.whiterabitart.net
