Finished Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac painting

Finished the Stevie Nicks painting early this morning. Decided to add the moon and stars at the last minute and believe that it adds just a little something to the painting. This was a commission so the painting is not for sale but you can get prints at Redbubble!

Next Up: Jimi Hendrix ink drawing and then back to Wonderland

Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac painting progress 1

Still have a lot of work to do but this gives you a good idea of where it is headed. The face needs a little more work and the white in the hair is basically to get a feeling of the movement of the hair before I start the detail. Stevie will also have necklaces around her neck. More to come!

I'm really enjoying this painting. It's been years since I've listened to Fleetwood Mac and am loving the music while painting. I think Sara is my fave Fleetwood Mac song.

Chris Cornell painting version 2

The Chris Cornell painting didn't flow with the other grunge paintings that I had done and I also wasn't totally happy with the turnout. Since I finished the series of grunge paintings I'm going to begin work on getting the paintings put on postcards for a set which will be for sale on my website. The changes that I made are the following: changed background color, fixed the hair and the face. I've included the previous photo of the painting so you can see the changes.

I would also like to give credit again to linda aversa for letting me use a photo of hers which was the main reference for the painting. You can view her photography at www.lindaaversa.com

fiona apple drawing

Finished the Fiona Apple drawing that has been in progress for a long time. It probably took about 6 to 10 hours total to finish. I used a reference pic that I believe was from entertainment weekly.

scott weiland finished painting

Woohoo! I found some extra time to finish this painting. Up next is another Chris Cornell because I'm not sure the other painting I did of Chris fits with the series as much as I'd like. Or I might start a painting of my weimeraner Jedi that I've been meaning to do for awhile.

Anyways enjoy the Scott Weiland painting and if anyone is interested I have the painting for sale on my website at www.whiterabitart.net

scott weiland painting progress 1

Haven't posted in a while. Life's been keeping me plenty busy. So here the progress on the Weiland painting. The face is the hardest part and usually takes the longest on the painting so the rest of the painting should move right along.

Started this drawing a little while ago. Although I'm not a big fiona apple fan I liked the reference picture.

Chris Cornell progress 2

Here is what the panting looks like today. I'm about ready to start on the guitar then I have some more detail to do on the body and hair before the background gets started. Altogether pleased with it so far.

Chris Cornell painting

This is the new painting that I'm currently working on for my Grunge music series. The painting is of Chris Cornell who is a singer that is doing solo work but was in the bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. Still working on the face and the hair but it's getting there. The reference photo that I'm using is by Linda Aversa. You can view her website @ www.lindaaversa.com. Stayed tuned for more updates on this painting.
